Arson Suspect Strikes Hollywood Restaurant Twice
Surveillance footage in Hollywood, Florida, captured an arson suspect throwing a Molotov cocktail at a local restaurant for the second time. The incident took place at the Broadwalk restaurant on North Surf Road on Monday night. The video shows a man approaching the back of the restaurant and throwing a cocktail towards the building.
Repeat Offender
This is not the first time the suspect has targeted the restaurant. The initial attack occurred on June 24, as shown in surveillance footage released by the Hollywood police. Restaurant employee Denis De Almeda expressed shock at the repeat offense, stating that they had no prior interaction with the suspect and were unsure of his motives.
Concerns and Call to Action
De Almeda highlighted the potential danger of the situation, emphasizing the need for swift action to apprehend the suspect. While the Molotov cocktails did not cause significant damage, the threat they posed to the safety of employees and patrons was a cause for alarm. He urged anyone with information about the crime to contact Broward County Crime Stoppers for a potential reward.
Despite the frustration of the situation, De Almeda remained grateful that no one was harmed in either incident. The restaurant staff and management are cooperating with authorities to ensure the safety of their establishment and community.
