CleanSpark, a US-based Bitcoin mining company, announced its expansion in Wyoming with the acquisition of a 30-megawatt Bitcoin mining farm in Cheyenne. This move marks the company’s first site in the state and is set to significantly increase its hash rate once operational.
The company has executed power contracts for a total of 75 MW, with the first site expected to go online by the end of 2024. Plans for a second site to bring an additional 45 MW of power are also in the works, further expanding CleanSpark’s operations in Wyoming.
Operational Expansion and Future Growth
As CleanSpark prepares to launch its Cheyenne facility by the end of the year, the company is already looking ahead to future expansions. The fully immersion-cooled facility will house the latest S21 Immersive XP Bitcoin mining machines, showcasing the company’s commitment to innovation and efficiency.
Additionally, CleanSpark’s recent acquisition of GRIID Infrastructure in Tennessee adds another 100 megawatts of power to its portfolio, solidifying its presence in three states and positioning the company for further growth in 2024.
