The Controversial Birth of a Baby in Miami-Dade County Jail
The family of a pregnant inmate at the Miami-Dade County Jail is raising questions about the circumstances surrounding the birth of her baby while she was in prison. Crystal Bareto, the inmate’s sister, has expressed concern over the situation.
A Shocking Revelation
The inmate, Daisy Link, gave birth to a baby girl two months ago while being held at the Turner-Guilford Knight Correctional Center in West Miami-Dade. This unexpected turn of events has sparked controversy, as Link has been in custody for a second-degree murder charge since June 2022.
Conflicting Accounts
According to Channel 7 sources, Link claimed that she impregnated herself with sperm allegedly passed to her by a male prisoner. However, Bareto has stated that her sister revealed being coerced by the guards to do so. The Miami-Dade Correctional Institution has denied any evidence of sexual abuse within the prison.
Despite conflicting testimonies, the baby is now in the custody of the inmate’s family. The identity of the father remains unknown, and both families are seeking answers and clarity on the situation. The case is currently under investigation by the Miami-Dade Correctional Facility.
