Shooting Suspects in Custody After Pursuit Ends in Crash in Miami
Two suspects involved in a shooting are now in custody after a police pursuit ended in a crash in Miami. The incident unfolded on Wednesday afternoon, when Miami-Dade County police officers followed the suspect vehicle as it traveled on Biscayne Boulevard at the intersection of 82nd Street.
Police Response and Arrest
During the pursuit, three Miami Police Department Tactical Robbery Units responded to the situation. Unfortunately, one of the units was involved in a rollover. Despite this setback, both suspects were eventually taken into custody a short time later. The scene was chaotic, with 7Skyforce hovering overhead and several police cars surrounding the intersection where the crash occurred.
Traffic Alert and Road Closure
As a result of the crash and subsequent police investigation, a portion of Biscayne Boulevard between 81st and 84th Streets was temporarily closed to traffic. Westbound traffic on 82nd Street was also rerouted to Northeast 10th Avenue to allow authorities to manage the situation effectively. Miami Fire Rescue responded to the scene, but fortunately, no officers required transportation for medical treatment.
