Rodriguez, 46, was pronounced dead on Friday at Delray Medical Center Hospice, where he had been “brain dead” since the accident. His family was notified of his passing, adding to the tragedy that struck the Rodriguez family.
Family Struggles with Loss and Recovery
Rodriguez’s brother-in-law, Arsenio Almaguer, created a GoFundMe page to help cover the family’s funeral expenses. The grieving family is facing not only emotional pain but also financial burdens in the wake of the tragedy. Rodriguez’s wife, Gretsch Y. Almaguer-Perez, will be honored in a memorial service in Lantana, while their 2-year-old son, Fabio, remains hospitalized with a fractured right tibia.
